First of all, What Exactly is Forex Autopilot?

Forex Autopilot EA by Marcus Leary is an automated trading robot that automatically identifies positive trading positions and enters and exits them accordingly. Works on the Metatrader4 platform and identifies trends through Fibonacci retracment analysis. Forex Autopilot isn’t 1 simple EA. Forex Autopilot comes with 8 different EA’s.

The idea is simple, you set up the software and it analyses the trends in the market and places your trades for you.

The important term here is forex (foreign exchange) trading robot. Having a good one means that you don’t need to be a slave to your all too human emotions when implementing forex trading strategies (specifically greed and fear) and more importantly, when you install this software on your PC, it runs itself. The key with day trading is consistent profits. There’s just one problem…Human beings are by nature both emotional and generally inconsistent.

My Forex Autopilot Results

Every new trading system should be tested before real money is put on the line. Fortunately this is easy to do and the Forex Autopilot manual shows you how.

Although the past does not equal the future, testing your system against historical data can give you some rough idea of how the system may perform in the future. At the very least it will give you some idea of its performance characteristics in different trading conditions.

The baseline provided via back testing will not only help you verify the product makers claims but will also give you the confidence you’ll need when there is real money on the line.

Here are the results I found for both a 12 month back test and a 5 year back test of Forex Autopilot using the default settings with 1 minute tick data. You can perform and verify these tests yourself once you have the product.

Final Word

My final conclusion is that Forex Auto Pilot system is not a scam or a pure garbage but it sure isn’t the holy grail either. It is somewhere in between as one should realistically expect. It does make money but it also loses it just as easily.

According to my demo testing it appears that in the end it makes more than it loses, which is what counts in the end. The profit ratio is pretty high actually. On both my demo accounts the percentage of winning trades has been above the 90% mark. a very respectable achievement.

The lack of a stop loss and the very large floating loses are two very big negative points against it. At times it looks as if it will lose all the profits it made previously with one trade.

Since past and present performance does not guarantee future success in the forex world, I’d have to give this EA a tentative recommendation. I’m just not 100% decided on this product. I’ll have to see how trading on a live account goes.

BUT I would STRONGLY suggest you take my advice and please make sure you DO NOT overleverage your account when using Forex Auto Pilot EA. Don’t get greedy or you’ll regret it.Heck, I’m going to set up another Forex Auto Pilot campaign after I’m done writing this review.
